A sixth-grader in Oklahoma was given multiple awards after he saved two lives in a single day. Dayvon Johnson, 11, was named an honorary police officer, an honorary sheriff’s deputy, and a hero at the Muskogee School Board meeting, all for his actions on Dec. 9,.
While in school on Dec. 9, Dayvon Johnson used the Heimlich maneuver on a classmate when another student got a water bottle cap stuck in their throat, then that same evening he helped a woman from her house that was on fire. More here.
Muskogee Police Department and Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office presented Johnson with a certificate denoting him as an honor member of their force.
